Apple’s first retail store in India officially opened in Mumbai on Tuesday. Tim Cook, Apple CEO along with Deirdre O’Brien, senior vice-president of Retail attended the Mumbai store’s opening. The store is located at Jio World Drive Mall at Bandra Kurla Complex and opened today. The opening will operate from 11 am to 10:00 pm on weekdays and weekend hours have yet to be announced.
The store will also sell accessories and apparel, but the centerpiece will be the many Mac and iPhone products on display. The opening was expected to bring a lot of people into the mall as well as attract more consumers from neighboring countries who wanted to see what’s new from Apple (or simply get an early peek at some of the products that are coming later this year)

It even has a small food court inside where people can buy snacks or other items while waiting for their appointment.
The store also offers free wi-fi access so that customers can use their iPhones or iPads during their visits (as long as)

A new tax law has been stalled by many businesses because it requires companies with a retail presence in India to collect taxes on goods purchased through their websites.
Section: Cook pointed out that they’ve been working closely with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on improving conditions for bringing smartphones and MAC.
